Dear Friends and supporters,

With the same passion and energy that has driven us for years, we’re thrilled to share the latest edition of our Annual Report. The year 2024 holds a truly special significance for us: it marks two decades since our journey began! From a modest beginning as a small company registered in Tanzania on December 20, 2004, we’ve grown, evolved, and transformed into a recognized NGO with Charitable Status.

Twenty years have passed in what feels like the blink of an eye, yet they’ve been incredibly rich with progress, change, and countless meaningful moments. This anniversary isn’t just about time; it represents a shared vision—one you’ve always been a part of—to build something lasting. This milestone of growth and consolidation provides a strong foundation for everything yet to come.

In this report, you’ll read about the challenges our extended family faced, especially our older youth transitioning into independent living while still under our supportive guidance. You’ll also learn how Malaika remains their anchor, a place they return to often, continuing to contribute to our vibrant community. We’ll share how we welcomed new members into our family and maintained strong “Outreach” efforts, supporting children reunited with their families.

We also took significant steps to increase our ability to self-finance, completing the first full year of operations for our candle factory and launching the “Egg Project”—a substantial investment that will help supplement our income.

We’re incredibly proud of these achievements and the hard work that made them possible, but we know much more remains to be done. To all of you, a huge thank you for pushing us forward and supporting us every step of the way.
