Two new children have brought a wave of novelty into our family: two little brothers, just 4 months and 2 years old. Despite their young age and the changes they’re experiencing, they are adapting remarkably well to life in the shelter, thanks to the warmth and affection surrounding them. The other children and the staff have welcomed them with great enthusiasm, creating a loving and nurturing environment for them. Seeing their smiles and the way they begin to feel safe and at home, day by day, fills us with immense joy and satisfaction.
This summer has been enriched by special visits that brought with them plenty of love and moments of connection. Among the visitors, we had the pleasure of welcoming Arianna, one of our dearest volunteers, who this time returned with her husband to share with him the experience of being part of our world. It was also a great joy to see Giulia again, who first visited us in 2023, this time accompanied by her sister Giorgia. Having them back, eager to contribute and renew their bond with our community, was truly heartwarming.
Finally, activity on our land hasn’t slowed down—it’s harvest time! This year, nature rewarded us with an especially abundant crop of tomatoes. A portion of the harvest will be frozen to be enjoyed during the winter months, allowing us to prepare nutritious and delicious meals. This ensures that we can savor the fruits of our labor even months later.
